Welcome to the Balmory Hall website
Balmory Hall is a Grade A listed, 19th Century,Victorian, Italianate mansion. It is situated on the beautiful Isle Of Bute off the West Coast of Scotland, overlooking the Firth of Clyde. The hall is set within six acres of garden and parkland approximately 200 metres from the sea and one mile from the historic Mount Stuart, home to the Marquis of Bute.
Balmory Hall, although large, is not an hotel but is our family home. We have rooms available on a bed and breakfast basis along with a self- catering gate lodge. The Hall is furnished with antiques and both traditional and contemporary art works, complementing the spectacular architecture. Rooms are lavishly furnished for the enjoyment and comfort of guests. We enjoy cooking breakfasts and provide a wide variety of home prepared and cooked food, using the finest local produce where possible. Breakfasts are served around the large table in the grand dining room and often include, porridge cooked on the Aga overnight, home made yogurt, fruit compote’s, smoked salmon, full cooked breakfasts including haggis and home made preserves.
